The surrounding Leicestershire countryside provides Somerby Equestrian Centre with extensive off-road hacking in a picturesque landscape for experienced and regular riders.

If your are an experienced and regular rider, you can join one of the hacks that ride out on a daily basis. Click here for prices.

If you are not a regular rider or are not confident in walk, trot, canter, you can book a private hack that starts in the arena so we can assess your ability.

Hacking Groups

Due to popular demand we have created spaces for our over 14's to take our horses out for an hour hack. Hacks will alternate with lessons that prepare for hacks and teach riding and road-craft, but lesson format can be suggested by the riders.  Lessons can be split into half a lesson in the school and half hack, dependent on turnout for lessons each week.
