Both SLC and SEC boast the benefit of both an indoor and outdoor ménage, walker and lunge pen.

Part Loans

Part loans are available to regular riders at Somerby Equestrian Centre. Some horses & ponies have been selected for part loan for their suitability to provide children/adults with the experience of having their own horse, without the risk and responsibilities that our involved in owning your own horse.

Loaning your own horse/pony can be very rewarding. This enables you to build a bond with them, and also provides you access to all livery facilities. Once you have a horse/pony on loan, you can ride in the school (when lessons are not in progress), join into suitable group lessons, hack, groom, bath and spoil them as if they were your own. It may even be possible for you to take them to competitions! (Subject to SEC approval). All costs for your horses’ health are paid for by SEC (shoeing, worming, vets, medications, dentistry, feed, livery). Private lessons for those with part loans are offered at a livery rate.

Part loans are generally based at SEC only, and are for 3 days per week (2 week days, 1 weekend day). Prices start at just £225 per calendar month. If you are interested in taking a horse/pony on loan then please contact Gail.
